Each province of Canada has a unique Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Each province has at least one immigration stream known as enhanced nominations which are aligned with the\u00a0<u><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevisacanada.com\/services\/canadian-permanent-residence-options\/express-entry-skilled-immigration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry<\/a><\/strong><\/u>\u00a0immigration selection system. The enhanced nominations award an additional 600 comprehensive Ranking Systems (CRS) points to Express Entry candidates. There are over 80 provincial immigration streams. The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) can be a great pathway to permanent residency in Canada. Each province has a contract with the IRCC (Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada) that allows them to choose\u00a0<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevisacanada.com\/services\/canadian-permanent-residence-options\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>permanent residence<\/strong><\/a><\/u>\u00a0for their province.<\/p><p>Note:\u00a0 Nunavut and\u00a0Quebec are not enrolled in the Provincial Nominee Programs. (PNP)<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b7a11e inner-content elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1b7a11e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2><strong>Key Provincial Nominee Programs of Canada:<\/strong><\/h2><p>The key Provincial Nominee Programs of Canada (PNP) are as follows:<\/p><ul><li><u><strong>Nova\u00a0Scotia PNP.<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program\u00a0(SINP)<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program.<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>OINP- Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program\u00a0(AINP)<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>British Columbia\u00a0Provincial Nominee Program\u00a0(BCPNP)<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>Yukon Nominee Program\u00a0(YNP)<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program\u00a0(MPNP)<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program\u00a0(PEI PNP)<\/strong><\/u><\/li><li><u><strong>Northwest Territories Nominee Program\u00a0(NTNP)<\/strong><\/u><\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Eligibility for Provincial Nominee Programs:<\/strong><\/h2><h2>To be eligible to apply for any of the Provincial Nominee Program you must:<\/h2><ul><li>Meet the minimum requirements of any province\/territory\u2019s enhanced nominee or non-Express Entry streams.<\/li><li>Receive a nomination under a stream.<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>How to Apply for Provincial Nominee Program:<\/strong><\/h2><p>There are two pathways to apply to a PNPs program of a particular province:<\/p><h3><strong>Apply directly to a PNP of a province:<\/strong><\/h3><p>After choosing the province you can directly apply to its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) by following the below stated steps:<\/p><ul><li>Choose a province and apply to its PNP<\/li><li>Get your application reviewed based on the selection\/criteria point system of the province you chose.<\/li><li>In the case of selection, a nomination letter will be granted.<\/li><li>Using the nomination letter, you can apply for permanent residence at the IRCC (Immigration Citizenship Refugee Canada). IRCC will then verify the candidate\u2019s medical and character certificates and all other requisite documents.<\/li><\/ul><h3><strong>Apply Via Express Entry:<\/strong><\/h3><p>To apply through the Express Entry, you must first register yourself in the Express Entry. If you make it to the Express Entry pool your profile will make you liable to be selected by provinces and territories. In case your profile is selected by a province you will get an invitation to get in contact with the province to be considered for the program. This will enable you to get an online ITA (Invitation to Apply) for a permanent residency visa.<\/p><p>The Express Entry stream is aligned with the Federal express entry system. This stream allows provinces to select candidates from the express entry pool and notify them to apply for the specified Provincial Nominee Program. If an applicant applies and gets selected, he\/she becomes eligible for the online ITA for a permanent residency visa.<\/p><h3><strong>After you have chosen your pathway you will have to:<\/strong><\/h3><ol><li>Complete an application.<\/li><li>Pay application fees.<\/li><li>Submit your application.<\/li><\/ol><h3><strong>Your application may be rejected due to the following reasons:<\/strong><\/h3><ol><li>Fraudulent or incorrect information is provided on the application.<\/li><li>You are inadmissible on Medical grounds or inadmissible to Canada due to your past criminal conviction.<\/li><li>You are a threat to public safety and security due to your affiliation with a certain criminal or terrorist organization or your security and background check are not clear.<\/li><\/ol><p>In any of the aforementioned cases, you may be barred up which refrains you from applying for permanent residency in Canada for the next 5 years.<\/p><h2><strong>Benefits of Applying to PNPs:<\/strong><\/h2><p>Depending upon the PNP you apply to, you may get the following relaxations:<\/p><ol><li>Freedom to choose a province\/territory you want to settle in.<\/li><li>Relaxation in case you have no job offer.<\/li><li>Points for an area of training.<\/li><\/ol><h2><strong>Provincial Nominee Program VS Express Entry:<\/strong><\/h2><p>Choosing which way to opt for immigration has been always a popular question. \u00a0Where the Express Entry is the largest and is the most favorite immigration system that selects an applicant based upon their CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score. The score assesses multiple domains such as education, age, work experience, language skills, etc. You will need to meet a minimum threshold of points in that particular Express Entry round of invitation to be eligible for an invitation to apply for Canadian residency from the IRCC (Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada).<\/p><p>If for instance, your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score is low, it is best to choose a reasonable Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Many PNPs accept low CRS scores. Ontario accepts scores as low as 400 points for Provincial Nominee Programs. Canadian Provinces will also invite applicants from the Express Entry Pool under the Express Entry Stream of their PNP. This will be assessed based on their eligibility and Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.<\/p><h2><strong>Express Entry stream of PNP:<\/strong><\/h2><p>The Express Entry stream of PNP is aligned with the federal express entry system. This allows provinces to select applicants from the Express Entry pool. Applicants are then notified to apply to the specified Provincial Nominee Program.\u00a0 In case the applicant is selected he\/she becomes eligible for a provincial nomination and is awarded an additional 600 CRS points in the federal express entry system. A 600 CRS point guarantees an ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canada PR from IRCC.<\/p><h2><strong>Low IELTS Score and PNP Program:<\/strong><\/h2><p>The IELTS score is a key parameter in your application hence only a good score can make your application strong. However, some provinces accept low IELTS scores such as:<\/p><ol><li>Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program\u00a0(SINP) accepts applications with scores as low as the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB)
